Logos Psychiatry
Excellence, Expertise, Personal Care
Stamatis Zeris, M.D.
Welcome to Logos Psychiatry! I’m Dr. Zeris. The word “Logos,” comes from the Greek word for meaning. My practice is focused on understanding symptoms within the context of personal meaning, relationships and upbringing. My training as a psychiatrist has taught me to focus on symptoms and the neurotransmitters that can be modulated through medication and therapy. I approach each person knowing that they are more than the sum of neurobiological circuits and create a space that honors what makes life meaningful for each individual.
I’ve had the privilege of training at respected institutions and working in hospitals where I cared for people facing some of the most complex challenges. What matters most to me is showing up fully for each person I meet. Whether your situation feels overwhelming or just harder than it should be, I’m here to listen closely and work with you. My goal is to offer thoughtful, high-quality care that honors your story and helps you move forward.
Over the years, I’ve trained in a wide range of medication treatments and psychotherapy approaches—from psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral to dialectical and meaning-centered therapies. I don’t rely on a single lens or rigid framework. Instead, I draw from my medical background, evidence-based practice skills, and psychotherapy training, always guided by cultural humility and curiosity. Together, we’ll shape a personalized approach to whatever brings you in. My role is to walk alongside you, helping make sense of things in a way that feels grounded and true to you while providing care that is truly excellent.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
-Carl Rogers
